BRETT BROWN is an award winning actor, distinguished baritone singer, and graduate of The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).
He is currently appearing as Fred and Salesman in ROMANTICS ANONYMOUS directed by Emma Rice at Bristol Old Vic.
Brett's career began at the age of eight with Opera Australia. He has worked with Baz Luhrmann, the Royal Shakespeare Company, Shakespeare's Globe, and has performed on London's West End, and in theatre festivals throughout the world. Brett made his screen debut in the Academy Award winning film The Theory of Everything.
Brett's one-man production Henry V: [Man and Monarch], based on Shakespeare's Henry V, has been seen in Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, the UK, Australia and continues to tour internationally. He was awarded 'Best International Solo Shakespeare Performance 2016' at the Ostrava Shakespeare Festival, Czech Republic.
His solo concerts and recitals include Brett Brown sings Handel, Bach's Ich Habe Genug, Vivaldi: Lovers & Warriors, You Say You Want a Revolution, Postcards, and To Sleep Perchance to Dream featuring music by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Samuel Barber, Leonard Bernstein, Astor Piazzolla, Edith Piaf & Sam Smith amongst others.
His numerous international credits include playing Hamlet in Seoul, alongside South Korea's leading contemporary dance company, Zero Point Motion. In Denmark he played Guildenstern in HamletScenen's acclaimed production of Hamlet at Kronborg Castle Elsinore.
Brett collaborated with award winning playwright, Elizabeth Kuti, to create and perform the character of Ben in the world première of Fishskin Trousers. He performed with Broadway star, Betty Buckley, in the UK première of Jerry Herrman's Dear World, directed by theatrical legend Dame Gillian Lynne. In OperaUpClose's Olivier Award winning production of Puccini's La Bohème he created the role of Schaunard. His one-man performance of Phaedra, by the celebrated Greek poet, Yannis Ritsos, played to critical acclaim at the London Festival of Emerging Artists. For the BBC he played Gus in The Cook and the Insurgent.

Brett is currently preparing his debut album with one of Australia's leading music producers, Chong Lim AM. This will be released in 2020.
